Data controller

The data controller is Miguel Ángel Pérez Blanco, owner of Blue Quest, with Spanish tax ID 71153709N and address at Limonero 22, 28020 Madrid, Spain.

You can contact us and exercise your rights at info@bqexplore.com. This policy applies to the Blue Quest website at www.bqexplore.com.

Enquiries and contact

When direct submission is available and you press “Send enquiry”, the fields are sent to Blue Quest through a function hosted on Vercel and Brevo’s transactional email service. The recipient is info@bqexplore.com and your address is used so we can reply. The website does not save these fields in cookies or local storage. If submission is unavailable, you can prepare a draft and send it yourself using your email app.

To protect the form, we limit attempts and use temporary identifiers derived from the connection and session tokens. They are not used for advertising. We do not log message content in the application logs; hosting and email providers may retain the data needed to provide and protect the service.

If you write to us, we will process your name, email address and the information you provide to respond to and manage your enquiry. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps when you request a service; for other enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in responding to communications addressed to us. We will not use an enquiry to sign you up for advertising.

Providing data is voluntary, but we need contact details and sufficient information to respond. Please do not include medical data or unnecessary sensitive information.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to news about Blue Quest explorations, activities and offers. The form and all emails are in English.

We use your email address with your consent, collected through an unchecked required checkbox. Signing up adds you directly to our list, without a separate confirmation email. You can withdraw consent at no cost using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Subscribing is not required to browse or get in touch.

Brevo manages the form, subscriptions, consent records and mailings. See Brevo’s privacy policy.

Browsing and service providers

Google reCAPTCHA may process your IP address, browser information and interaction with the form to detect abuse. It may use cookies and involve international processing. See Google’s privacy policy and its terms of service.

Vercel hosts the website and may process technical connection data, such as IP address, browser and requests, to provide and protect the service. Website security is based on the legitimate interest in preventing abuse and incidents.

The initial language is based on the approximate country Vercel derives from your IP: Spanish for Spanish-speaking countries and English otherwise. We do not request GPS location or add an external geolocation service. You can change the language using EN / ES; your choice is kept in the URL, without cookies or local storage.

Hosting, email, newsletter and anti-spam providers may access the information necessary for their role. Authorities may also receive data where there is a legal obligation. We do not sell contact data.

Vercel describes international processing, including in the United States, and applicable safeguards in its privacy notice. Locations and safeguards depend on the service and processing involved. You can request information about providers and the relevant safeguards at info@bqexplore.com.

The website has no advertising or analytics tools of its own and does not store contact fields in cookies. The form is not embedded in Blue Quest: it opens in a new Brevo tab when you click the sign-up link. Opening or closing the Blue Quest popup does not load or close that external tab. Closing either window does not cancel a completed subscription or delete the provider’s cookies. You can manage those in your browser.

Data retention

We retain enquiries while handling them and, afterwards, only as necessary to meet obligations or address potential liabilities during the applicable periods, with restricted access. Technical data is retained according to the service’s operational and security needs.

We maintain your subscription until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe. A minimal record may be retained to honour your unsubscribe request and demonstrate compliance with our obligations, without using it for further mailings.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability of your data, or object to processing, by emailing info@bqexplore.com with details of your request. If necessary, we will ask for the minimum information needed to verify your identity.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We will respond within the time limits set by the General Data Protection Regulation. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

We do not make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We will update this policy when the website’s processing activities or services change.
